I saw a bird in a nest,

Saw her fly and come to rest.

Her feathers an angelic blue,

How I love that pretty hue.

Her song so sweet it reached my ear,

In her tone no dread, no fear.

Her chicks were there squawking loud,

One day they’ll fly off in a cloud.

Her wings so dainty and so fair,

Shall I touch them, shall I dare.

Oh little blue bird fly to me,

To my arm and you will see.

A hand so warm to hold you tight,

To protect you from the winter’s night.

"Oh my Heavenly Father can you see,

This beautiful blue bird in the tree.
