Poem Title

Pearl of Great Value

Back

There was a time and a day,

When I said "Take my breath away".

The pain of heart, the hole inside,

Seemed too much for me to hide.

If only I could be laid to rest,

No tears I’d shed or manifest.

Not being able to feel your touch,

A loss so great, I would miss it much.

To think of you my heart does groan,

Even though it feels like stone.

I have cast my tears upon your heart,

Hoping to pierce it like a dart.

A merchant I do want to find,

You’re a pearl – I wish was mine.

These thoughts of mine will always be,

Treasured gems for you to see.
