Poem Title

Halfway House

Back

Traveling this road I would wish to go,

Seeing I travel only halfway or so.

What does the traveler need along the way?

The food of life, love and sweetness each day.

This road is long, but half is all I fare,

A friend, a companion, will meet me there.

We travelled on in each others debt,

But never left the place we met.

Closing the door of doubt far behind,

Our innermost thoughts infuse hearts entwined.

Though each travel down the path of life,

Bound together now, she will be my wife.
